Research Associate – Immunolgy

Working under limited supervision, the Research Assistant will coordinate projects alongside Scientists and perform standard cellular biology including immunological techniques (ELISA, flow-cytometry, western blotting), tissue isolation and culturing/cell culture work, general lab maintenance as well as assist characterization of protein- and antibody-based biologicals.

Work closely with the Senior Scientists to conduct biochemical analyses using antibodies, proteins, and small molecule inhibitors in vitro as well as in vivo in small animals. This also will include operating a variety of instruments and scientific equipment, e.g. microscopy, PCR, gel electrophoresis, biochemical assays, flow cytometers.  Coordinate laboratory/research projects and analysis of samples. This includes maintaining cell/ tissue cultures for experimental purposes.  Study and test new procedures. Collect, organize and analyze data, maintain records of experiments using electronic lab notebook system. Organize raw data, record results and update lab-related data folders.  Prepare weekly data summaries for supervisor as well as bi-weekly project meetings.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to multitask across several projects while maintaining the ability to hit deadlines.
